Work Pencil Holders

These were my first attempt at mixed media, and they started my mixed media adventure.  Both pieces are on my desk at work.  Also created a matching vase and frame (not shown yet).

• Recycled Paper Pencil holders:  Originally these were green and super sun faded.
• Acrylic Paint Colors:  Blue, Black, Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.
• Embellishments:  Metal, paper flowers, buttons, beads, hot glue molds, wood shapes, etc.
• Texture:  Paper towel, texture paste, paper die cuts - I found that the more expensive paper towels keep the texture better.  Dollar store paper towel don't work well.

Hot Glue - Who Knew?

Hot glue is something I grew up with.  My mom was always making crafts.  So naturally, when I found out that I could add Hot Glue in a Silicone Moulds, I was all in.  The Hot Glue dries fast, and I can make multiple Moulds in less than 10 minutes.  Unlike Clay, which takes 24 hours, or Resin which takes mixing, gloves, time, etc.

Bottles

Bottles, Bottles, Bottles:  I love them.

This bottle is covered with Paper Towel, Mesh, and Fibers.    Painted with Black, Silvers, Pink Shimmer Acrylic Paint.  Designs on the front is using Hot Glue in Moulds by Finnabair and random Scrapbook gems.  Base is a Captain Morgan bottle.
